What we collect

We collect your email address and username when you create an account. We collect the content you post and the replies you write. We collect basic usage data such as your last sign in date.

We do not currently collect location data or device information beyond what is standard for web applications.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use Depth. Google Analytics may collect anonymized data about your visit including pages viewed and time spent. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising

We do not currently display advertising. We may introduce non-invasive advertising such as Google AdSense in the future. This policy will be updated before any ads are shown.

How we use your data

We use your email to authenticate your account and send notifications you have opted into. We use your username and content to operate the platform. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Payments

When Stripe payments are enabled, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings page. Deleting your account removes your posts, replies, and personal information from our system. Some data may remain in backups for up to 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing info@paulmickey.com.

Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication. Google Analytics uses cookies to track anonymized usage data. We do not use advertising cookies at this time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.
