Acceptance

By creating an account on Depth you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Who can use Depth

You must be at least 13 years old to use Depth. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Use a strong password and do not share your credentials.

What you can post

Depth is a platform for thoughtful written conversation. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, abusive, or sexually explicit. You agree not to spam, game the word count requirement, or manipulate the depth score system. You agree not to impersonate other people.

All replies must be at least 50 words. Attempts to circumvent this requirement through padding or meaningless text may result in your account being suspended.

No sexually explicit content of any kind is permitted on Depth.

Content ownership

You own the content you post. By posting on Depth you grant us a license to display that content on the platform. We do not claim ownership of your writing.

Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms. We are not obligated to provide advance notice before taking moderation action. Suspended users may contact info@paulmickey.com to appeal.

Subscriptions and payments

When payment features are enabled, subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time. Refunds are handled on a case by case basis — contact info@paulmickey.com.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how the platform is used. We may introduce non-invasive advertising such as Google AdSense in the future. We will update our Privacy Policy before any ads are shown.

Disclaimer

Depth is provided as is, currently in alpha. We make no guarantees of uptime or data permanence during the alpha period. We are not liable for any loss of data or service interruptions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable local and federal law.
